Mr. Long will tell us about the important services that are provided at Option House, Inc. which includes 24-Hour Crisis Intervention Shelter, Outreach Services, Legal Referrals, Education and Awareness for victims of family violence.

We will be hearing from Cheylynda Barnard – Candidate for Moreno Valley City Council, and Brandon Mosely – Candidate for Congressional District 42. Both candidates will give us an update on their campaigns and let us know how Riverside County NOW can help. Riverside County NOW will match total donations made by Riverside County NOW members up to $200 for each candidate.
The Riverside County NOW is working with the Riverside County Democratic Party to help Get Out the Vote (GOTV) campaign against the Recall. These efforts include texting, phonebanking and canvassing to registered voters. The following is a schedule of the GOTV activities:

As unforeseen health reasons have arisen, Denise Sala Gore, will be stepping down as Riverside County NOW President near the end of July, and passing the helm to Maliha Williamson to fulfill the term. Denise will be seeking further treatments at Yale University Medical Center in New Haven, CT. Riverside County NOW will resume with new elections in January 2022.

Let’s walk with her on her journey experiencing her political climb, as well as facing systemic racism. We will also be hearing from Congressional Candidate Brandon Mosely District #42. WE MUST GET KEN CALVERT OUT. We are lucky to have a gem of an opponent. Let’s hear from Brandon and his platform.
In order to accommodate California Democratic Party (CDP) delegates, Riverside County NOW will be canceling the April meeting due to the CDP Convention.

Congressional Candidate Bruno Amatois is running against Kevin McCarthy in Congressional District 23. Mandy Hyde is with the Junior League that helps Moms and their babies. Their need for diapers is their main focus during these urgent times.

Our guest speakers will be Sarah Wood, Social Media Director of VoteVets.org and Antwanisha Williamson, 17 year veteran and former Logistics Specialist at USS Carl Vinson. Sarah will discuss her role as Media Director and the position of VoteVets.org in our political climate. VoteVets.org took a political stance against Trumpisim with numerous veterans speaking out. Navy Veteran Antwanisha Williamson will speak about her experience as a female in the military. She’ll share her ups and downs as gender discrimination still exists. Antwanisha is also a graduate of Stanford University, and a doctoral student. This will be a very inspiring meeting!
