June 3, 2021 RC NOW Get-Together

You are invited to OUR FIRST GET-TOGETHER since COVID!! THIS is NOT a meeting, just a gathering. Please join us on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 6:30 pm at the Lighthouse Restaurant, (located in Canyon Lake Lodge), 22200 Canyon Club Drive, Canyon Lake. We will meet downstairs in the Sunset Beach Room (take elevator)!

Everyone MUST BE VACCINATED to attend and will need to be on our list to get through the security gate. All members will be on our list! Non-members must RSVP at Riverside.Cty.NOW@gmail.com to attend.  

As unforeseen health reasons have arisen, Denise Sala Gore, will be stepping down as Riverside County NOW President near the end of July, and passing the helm to Maliha Williamson to fulfill the term. Denise will be seeking further treatments at Yale University Medical Center in New Haven, CT.  Riverside County NOW will resume with new elections in January 2022.

May RC NOW Meeting

We hope you will join us for our Zoom meeting on May 20th starting at 6:30 pm. We will be hearing from Jocelyn Yow, the first Asian American Mayor from Eastvale. Let’s walk with her on her journey experiencing her political climb, as well as facing systemic racism. We will also be hearing from Congressional Candidate Brandon Mosely District #42. WE MUST GET KEN CALVERT OUT. We are lucky to have a gem of an opponent. Let’s hear from Brandon and his platform.

March 25, 2021 RC NOW Meeting

Please join us at our Riverside County NOW Zoom meeting, Thursday,March 25, 2021, at 6:30 pm. Our guest speakers will be Congressional Candidate Bruno Amato, and Mandy Hyde.  Congressional Candidate Bruno Amatois is running against Kevin McCarthy in Congressional District 23.  Mandy Hyde is with the Junior League that helps Moms and their babies. Their need for diapers is their main focus during these urgent times.

February 25, 2021 RC NOW Meeting

Please join us at our Riverside County NOW Zoom meeting, Thursday,February 25, 2021, at 6:30 pm. Our guest speakers will be Sarah Wood, Social Media Director of VoteVets.org and Antwanisha Williamson, 17 year veteran and former Logistics Specialist at USS Carl Vinson.  Sarah will discuss her role as Media Director and the position of VoteVets.org in our political climate.  VoteVets.org took a political stance against Trumpisim with numerous veterans speaking out.  Navy Veteran Antwanisha Williamson will speak about her experience as a female in the military. She’ll share her ups and downs as gender discrimination still exists.  Antwanisha is also a graduate of Stanford University, and a doctoral student. This will be a very inspiring meeting!

Warrior Women Winning Seats!

Please mark your calendars for our next Zoom meeting, Thursday, January 28, 2021, at 6:30 pm. Our guest speakers will be newly elected Riverside County NOW endorsed candidates: Katherine Aleman, Norco City Councilmember and Denise Delagdo, Coachella City Councilmember. These successful candidates will tell their stories and share with us how they achieved their goals.

Riverside County NOW January Meeting

Habitat for Humanity of the Inland Empire’s Project Women’s Build

At our virtual meeting in October, we voted to support Habitat for Humanity of the Inland Empire’s project Women’s Build, which is accepting donations through October 31st.  For every donation of $10, you will receive a commemorative mask and a $5 gift certificate to the Restore Design Center in Temecula.

October 22nd Zoom Meeting
